SCEPTIC TEL<br>Seeking Confirmation Of The Paranormal....

Shepeard Neame Brewery

After the Gunpowder Mills I was really looking forward to this "extremely haunted location". I was disappointed. The group we went with had a variety of sensitive people that could pick up on spirit activity left, right and centre but as for me, a sceptic newbie, I got very little other than a few cool breezes but nothing convincing.

Although there is one particular part of the night that stands out and was a phenomena that lead me closer to becoming a believer:

During a seance one of the participants (I was not in the circle) experienced frantic movement of their hand. It was agreed that the movement may be that of wanting to write. A pen and paper was fetched and a session of "automatic writing" followed. The convincing thing about this event was that the hand movement was so random and spasmic that it would have been hard to produce it willingly. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures, but at the time I was holding down the paper to prevent it moving about, even if I hadn't been chances are that it wouldn't have occurred to me, I've still got a lot to learn about participating in these investigations. Anyway the writing was almost like scribble but the words could clearly be read, I recall that arrows were also drawn. The person involved in the writing would involuntarily bang his hand on the table which eventually caused his ring to make his finger bleed. The fact that the person channeling the writing was an honest and genuine person and was linking hands with Rosie also contribute to my belief that the phenomena I witnessed that night was of the paranormal.

So a disappointing lack of personal experience but the automatic writing was a rememberable moment and made the investigation worthwhile.
