Spiritrealms Paranormal Study Group (SPSG) were visiting the Gunpowder Mill so we thought we'd tag along with them too despite having been there before, we managed to squeeze eight curious investigators into the small shed that cold, windy and wet night.
As before it was not a particularly active night and in all honesty I cannot confess to experiencing anything myself, sure I felt a bit of numbness on my face and a few changes in temperature but the numbness could have quite easily been due to sitting awkwardly on the floor for a period of time and the temperature changes could have been due to sitting in a shed on a cold windy night!
There were a couple of things that the psychics picked up on though that I was quite impressed with:
Alan picked up on a severed hand during a seance. After the investigation we spoke with the man that takes care of the Mill (to my shame I cannot recall his name) and he confirmed that there is a recorded incident of a young man having his hand severed whilst working unofficially at the Mill. The nature of the Mill, in my opinion, does not create images of severed limbs - crushed yes, severed no. So I thought Alan done well to get that.
Rosie picked up on a man holding his head as though he could not stand the noise and, appearingly, completely unassociated a padded cell. Again after the investigation Rosie sought answers from the man that looks after the mill. In answer to the man holding his head due to unbearable noise he could not connect with the Mill because it was not a particularly noisy operation, however the sound may well have been a monotonous droning sound. He did confirm though that there were recorded cases of the Mill workers going clinically insane, so the padded cell could have easily been pointing to the workers going mad! What impressed me with this is that I would not have associated Mill work with insanity and the cells did appear to be a likely connection. Perhaps the man holding his head was not due to the noise of the mill but due to the conflict within his head.
Other things were picked up but these are the two things, as a sceptic, that impressed me the most. Shame I did not experience anything and did not have any confirmation of the experience that I got from my first visit.
