Paranormal Investigation at Michelham Priory
What a lovely location, a definite favorite and somewhere I'd love to return to. I also experienced what I believe to be paranormal phenomena here:
- Whilst
the main group were performing a seance in another room, Rosie and
I performed a vigil in another room. While sitting on a window seat I
felt a prod or poke on my arm. I immediately looked to see what
had prodded my arm thinking that it must have been a heavy curtain or
something similar but there was nothing close enough to touch me. This
lead me to question whether I had actually felt anything, but I am
quite sure that I did but there is still a little doubt; did I really
feel something? In hind sight I should have asked for the spirit to repeat it although if it didn't I still wouldn't be any wiser, but then if it did I would have been convinced. I should've asked...
- Just after the above had happened whilst still in the same room Rosie and I heard a noise which lead me to believe it was raining outside, upon investigation we found that in actual fact it was not. We sat and listened some more and the noise continued, I can only describe it as a shuffling sound followed by a creaking, which was coming from the area of the desk and chair. I approached the area to look for obvious sources of the sound but could not see anything, the only thing that I cannot dismiss is the activities of a mouse or some other rodent. I walked about on the mat near the desk and sat on the chair, both of which closely replicated the sounds we had heard. Maybe paranormal activity had taken place in this area.
- Earlier in this room we had also taken a series of pictures. When we got home we uploaded them onto the computer and saw a few orbs. Rosie studied the orbs and noticed one in particular that was quite dense and had colour in it. She zoomed in and was shocked to see what appears to be a mans face within the orb. She showed it to me and I immediately saw the same thing. I've always been a bit sceptical of orbs but this one was very interesting and has lead to further thought upon the phenomena of orbs.
The top picture is the original full size picture, the orb is just visible in the fireplace on the right hand side. The picture below is the orb blown up, it's a picture straight off my monitor as I could not save it any other way without losing quality. You can (or at least we can) clearly see a face, or two, in the orb. Remember I am a sceptic these pictures have not been modified ;)
