We are but specs in an eternal Universe. The immensity of the Universe amazes me, it makes me realise just how insignificant we and our problems are. I was going to write an article about the small part we play in the Universe but in honesty the subject is beyond me so I had put it off. However I was sent a Youtube video that expresses my interest and the vastness of the Universe in such a way that I would not be able to replicate with words. Enjoy!
A quote from Alan Watts philosophy which I feel fits with the topic :
If
you look at a newspaper photo through a magnifying glass you only see a
meaningless jumble of dots. As you stand back and look they make sense
in an overall picture.
If you look at your blood under a
microscope, there is a vicious war going on all the time between
bacteria and cells that would seem terrible until you stand back and
look at the bigger picture see that it's essential for your health and
well being.
Could it be that the human struggle is the same and we normally take a
myopic view and need to stand back and look at the bigger picture?
